Macbeth is brave, noble, and determined, but he lets the witches' prophecies get to his head and is now a murderer.

Macbeth is extremely couragous and skillful in battle. Before he stole the throne he was still very high in class status. But his tragic flaw was his hubris. He had too much pride and became very offended everytime Lady Macbeth would attack his manhood. He seemed to always feel the need of being a strong and fearless man. So when things were in his way he would simply try to eliminate them no matter what the cost.

What's the tragic flaw Chelsea?

Interesting Mellisa - you think Macbeth does all this to prove his manly worth. Boy, Lady Macbeth sure has a lot of power over her husband, doesn't she?

Macbeth is brave, courages, determined, loyal, and merciless. He is also cousin to the king so he is royal already before becoming the king. I believe his tragic flaw is not that he wants to prove that he is a man but i believe it is that he is naive in his judgment in the witches prophecies and he just wants power.

Before Macbeth became a murderer, he was strong, courageous, and sensible. However, his tragic flaw, which is his selfishness, caused him to lose those characteristics. He became obsessed with achieving the status as king and did not let anything get in his way of the throne. He even killed his own best man so that he could remain on the throne.

Macbeth's abilities are his strength as described in Act 1 Scene 2, and his efficency in getting what he wants in Act 2 Scene 2 and Act 3 Scenes 1 and 3. His tragic flaw could be his suspicion of others as shown in Act 3 Scene 1 and in Act 3 Scene 4, but there could be a agrument about him being easily persuaded by Lady Macbeth As seenin Act 1 Scene 5 and Scene 7.

Before he first heard the witches' prophecy, Macbeth was a fairly upstanding man. He was loyal, brave, true, and fierce in battle.

However, Macbeth was at times emotionally weak and he was too easily swayed by others. Lady Macbeth had very little difficulty convincing Macbeth to commit murder.

I just find it odd that such an accomplished soldier could be losing a battle in his mind....

Because Macbeth has become accustomed to winning battles and fighting bravely, why would he not be offended by Lady Macbeth's comments? He feels that he has already proved himself to everyone. But when Lady Macbeth attacks him, his pride does not allow him to back down. The seed of pride has already been planted in Macbeth. Lady Macbeth is only nourishing it by what she says.

Macbeth is brave and very intelligent and good in battle. His downfall is that when he heard the prophecy to be king was he kept thinking about how to become it. Lady Macbeth though really is to blame she kept saying your not a man and a coward which made him lead to all this and now hes pretty much crazy in his mind and keeps on doing damage to people or things thats in his way of being the king

Macbeth is a courageous and valiant man who has a high status in society. He has everything going for him, and his respected by many.He has a flaw thought that leads to his downfall. We see this flaw when he is told the prophecy by the witches. He lets this prophecy influence his decisions and change his values.
